May Magnolia-licious DT Sketch challenge for Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes!
Good morning and Happy Tuesday! I love it when Mondays are done and over with! LOL! And one of the reasons for that is Tuesday brings a new challenge from Papertake Weekly! Now this month I combined my Papertake challenge with our montthly Magnolia DT sketch challenge. This month, the sketch is by our extremely talented and head designer Suzanne Dean!! This was a great sketch to work with Suzanne, Thank you!! Since this is the first Tuesday of the month over at Papertake Weekly, that means the new challenge is "anything goes" ! This months option is to use something round on your card (which was also included in Suzannne's sketch). It also means that we're being sponsored by the fabulous Lili of the Valley at Papertake Weekly!
For my card today, I used this adorable #214 King Tilda from the You Are So Special collection at Magnolia-licious. I don't see her in stock right now, but if you contact Diana, she'll be happy to help you out. I also used #594 Balloon Background and #427 Lazy Summer Flowers! They're all colored with Copic markers. For the paper lace, I used a Magnolia Doohickey Die.
The cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is from an old DCWV stack Nana's Kitchen. The ticket stamp and die cut is from Whimsy and are also colored with Copic markers to match the card. That beautiful lace on the horizontal piece is by Prima which I got from Bunny Zoes Crafts, and the ribbon is May Arts Silk which I purchased from Stamp and Create. For the circle portion of the card, I used a fabulous doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs! LOVE them!! And the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts of course.
You can see there's lots of dimension on this card, simply cause I love dimension. So instead of masking, I usually like cutting out my images and layering them up in the scene to give that nice depth. That background paper....well......I tried to used Cabio's fabulous tutorial for clouds but I failed miserably. LOL! I think I need to practice a little with that one. Cabio's always looks so perfect and makes it look so easy! :) I'm glad most of mine was covered up so you really couldn't tell just how bad it really is. LOL! And for those of you that have asked....
Nothing super special on the inside, but decorated nicely to complement the outside. So that's it for me today! Please be sure to pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites to see all the amazing creations by the design team for Suzanne's sketch. And also please be sure to visit Papertake Weekly to see all the gorgeous work by the design team over there! And then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join in the challenges with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!!
hugs!

Magnolia-licious Design Team Sketch challenge for April
WOOHOO!! Happy Friday and happy April 1st!!! So are you an April Fool prankster? I like to play small little pranks, especially to the grandkids. LOL! With today being the first of the month, it's time for a new challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design team, and this month is was my turn to host. I decided to challenge you to make a project using Edwin and Tilda together. Cause after all, Edwin and Tilda are truly Together Forevah!!! For my card today, I used #151 Heartbreaker Edwin (isn't he just the cutest little thing??) along with #341 Mini Tilda Blowing Hearts for the thought bubble, and #450 log.
They're all colored with Copic markers. Edwin and the log are fussy cut and popped up from the Nestabilities circle. The grass is just hand drawn in. A Martha Stewart border punch was used for the heart strip, the twine is from PTI, and I got those cool Tim Holtz pins that the charm is attached to at my LSS. The other stick pin I've had for forever and I can't remember who they're made by. The packaging is long gone. That little tag was cut using a Cuttlebug set of dies and I just ran it through my printer after cutting it. It's attached to the twin with just a simple safety pin. The pearls in the corners were colored with a Copic marker.
Please be sure to visit Magnolia-licious Highlites to see my DT sisters creations using both Tilda and Edwin. And don't forget about the huge Magnolia-licious Easter/Spring Extravaganza challenge! The prizes are unbelievable! There are three different categories and each category is offering a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place price. This is VOTING contest, and you're only allowed one entry per category, so be sure to do your best work! First place prize in each category is a $150.00 shopping spree at Magnolia-licious! WOW! If that's not an eye opener, then I don't know what would be! All the details are on the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog. But don't put it off, cause you only have until April 19th (exact times are in the contest details) and then the contest closes for voting. So what are you waiting for! Get those Easter/Spring projects going! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious DT sketch challenge for March
Hi everybody! I'm a little tardy posting my sketch challenge for the Magnolia-licious Design Team sketch challenge for March. This month, the hostess with the mostest is the wickedly talented Janny! She has given us a recipe challenge with a twist! It's to make a frame card/project using at least one each of the following items:
Magnolia image
ribbon/trim
flower
pearls/bling
Fun stuff, huh?? I used one of those cheap frames available at Michael's and painted it white. I then covered it in Magnolia paper from the Bon Voyage collection from Magnolia-licious. I had a lot of fun making this one. :)
I used various cuts from my Cricut to set the scene for this adorable Tilda from the brand new Butterfly Dreams collection. Some of these stamps are still in stock and available over at Magnolia-licious, so hurry over to grab them now!! Along with her, I used #406 Little Birds, #421 sun, and the swirls are a Magnolia Doohickey die.
Tilda is colored with Copic markers and I cut the basket out of her hand cause I just didn't think she needed it in this little scene. The fence, tree, and flowers were all cut with my Cricut Expression using my Gypsy. The only cartridge that I can remember is the Create a Critter. Sorry, if you need to know where the tree and fence came from, just send me an email and I'll figure it out for you. I sure hope you pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites to check out all the details, see the rest of the talented DT creations, and then join us in the challenge! Thnks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon!! Hugs!!

Magnolia-licious DT sketch challenge for February
Can you believe that January is already gone?? What the heck!! It seems like Christmas was just last weekend! With a brand new month, comes a brand new Design Team challenge from Magnolia-licious. This month, our wonderful hostess with the mostest is Ms Patti Jo! Patti Jo asked us to use pink, white, silver, hearts, and you can use green for flowers. Isn't that the most perfect challenge for February??!! Awesome choice Patti Jo! You've got to check out the rest of the fabulous creations by the Design Team over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog! They're truly gorgeous!!
I used some Nestabilities for the frame that Tilda is sitting in, as well as the hearts. A Martha Stewart border punch created the hearts border along the horizontal piece, and I dry embossed the piece of cardstock.
the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the flat backed pearls are from Kaiser. Stickles are all over this card. LOL!
So that's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Magnolia-licious Highlites to see the rest of the gorgeous creations from the design team. There will be more to come as well. The majority of the DT have been at CHA (I'll be there next year YAY!!!) Hope you will join us in the challenge! thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! If you're being affected by the nasty winter storm that is sweeping it's way across our nation, please stay safe and warm! Hugs!

Happy New Year!!
A very Happy New Year to you my friends!! With it being the 1st, it's time for a new Magnolia-licious DT sketch challenge, and this month, the challenge comes from my unbelievably talented design team sister, Cheryl!! She has issued us a recipe challenge. Here's the recipe:
4 flowers, three different DP, two different Magnolia stamps, and one ribbon. For complete details, please visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.
For my card I used this adorable image , #334 Brother and Sister from the Autumn 2010 collection at Magnolia-licious. But it's not in stock right now. Please contact Diana if you're interested in it. For my second image, I used this beautiful Magnolia heart that I stamped the word hugs into. I can't find it either (sigh). Looks like I'm back up to my old antics about using stamps that are out of stock. Some things never change. Sorry about that!! Anyway, if you're interested, please contact Diana at Magnolia-licious. She'll be happy to help you!

I colored them with Copic markers and Tilda and Edwin were cut out with Nesties. I fussy cut the heart. Everything is popped up off the card base for dimension, and the main panels are machine stitched. I used Martha Stewart punches for the heart border and the flower leaves, and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. The ribbon is May Arts 100% silk (I love this stuff in case you didn't know) The flowers are from Wild Orchid.
Please be sure and visit Magnolia-licious Highlites blog for all the details for the challenge, and to see all the fabulous creations by the rest of the amazing design team. Magnolia-licious Design Team Sketch Challenge for December
Hi everyone and welcome to the month of December!!! Can you believe how quick this year is going? It just goes faster and faster every year! Anyway, since it's the first of the month, it's time for a new sketch challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design Team. This month, our challenge was chosen by the fabulous Queen Diana, and she asked us to create a frame using Magnolia stamps and words. Unfortunately, I didn't remember the part about it being Winter or Christmas themed, but I hope it helps that I used three stamps from the new Merry Christmas 2010 collection. You can click on the pics to get a better view.
I bought the frame at Michaels and then painted it white using acrylic paint. I then cut the letters out with my Cricut Expression with red Bazzill cardstock with a Black Bazzill cardstock shadow. I used #3070 Sitting Angel Tilda on the left, #3078 Tilda Wants a Hug on the right, and #3081 Tilda With Hanging Heart for top center. I think it's quite simple and kind of plain, but I still like the way it looks and think it would make a cute frame to welcome someone into a kitchen or even a shop. All of the images are currently available right now over at Magnolia-licious!
Please be sure and pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to see all the details on how you can enter the challenge for the chance to win a fabulous prize from Magnolia-licious, and to see the GORGEOUS creations the rest of the Design Team came up with! My jaw kept dropping as I looked at each beautiful project! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

September Magnolia-licious Design Team challenge
WOW! September 1st, can you believe it??!! I've got a lot going on in the next couple of weeks. I am FINALLY going to a Copic Certification class over in Oakland, CA on the 11th!! YAY!!! I'm so excited! If anyone has any advice on what I should take with me for the class, I would greatly appreciate it! AND, then my LSS Scrapbook Paradise asked me to teach my very first card class and it's all set up for Oct 7th!!!!! I'm so jazzed I can hardly stand it! LOL! Ok...back on track...sorry bout chatting so much! :) With today being Sept 1st, it's time for a new Magnolia-licious sketch challenge. This month, the awesomely talented Becca Feeken is hosting us! And instead of a card sketch, Becca issued us a challenge to make either a backpack or a suitcase along with a Bon Voyage image. You can find the links for the tutorials over at Magnolia-licious Highlites. Needless to say, when I saw the backpack (soooo cute!) took 31 steps to complete, I chose to make the suitcase! LMBO! It was so quick and easy and it's the most adorable way to give a gift card! I love it!!!
For my card, I used #229 Cowgirl Tilda (currently out of stock on reorder), #431 cactus, #505 travel sign, #620 ticket, and #738 See you later. They're all colored with Copic markers, and all but the sign are cut out and some of them are popped up for dimension. Cardstock is Bazzill and DP are digital downloads from Nitwit Collections. I snagged some cable cord from my hubby's stash and used it for rope. There is machine stitching around the outside of the card and I also added a couple punched borders courtesy of a MS border punch. I kept the suitcase rustic so it would go with the western theme, and I could just imagine the clasp being broken and them tying it closed with some rope. All the stamps I used are from the Bon Voyage collection which is available at Magnolia-licious.
So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites and see what my amazing DT sisters did for this challenge. And then grab those Tilda's and make your own for a chance to win a prize! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again tomorrow for the new release of Digital Delights images! They're too cute for words!

T slide card - new Magnolia-licious DT challenge
Hi everyone! Hope you've enjoyed your weekend and that you're ready to start another week! Can you believe it's August 1st already?? I sure can't! Today is mine and hubby's 15th wedding anniversary! Seems like we just got married yesterday! I am truly a lucky lady to have found the love of my life that supports me in all my ventures. The one thing I've definitely noticed is that the older I get, the quicker the years go by. Anyone else notice that? Anyway, with it being the 1st of the month, it's time for a new challenge from the Magnolia-licious design team. This month's challenge is courtesy of the lovely and talented Mindy Baxter. Now I'm going to warn you, when Mindy gives a challenge, she REALLY gives a challenge! LOL! Her challenge is to make a T-slide card. You can find the directions HERE, and I strongly suggest you both read the pictorial, and also watch the video. Keep pausing the video as you go along to help you. And I would also strongly suggest doing a prototype before actually trying to cut your good paper so you can know what you're doing by the time you cut the pretty stuff.
For my card, I chose to use #3028 Tilda with 3 flowers, and she's available right now at Magnolia-licious! I also used #526 Bridge Deck which is also available. I just cut it out so I wouldn't have the water ripples around the base of it. That way, it just looks like a fence. They're colored with Copic Sketch markers and Tilda is popped up with dimensional tape. Papers are Bazzil Basics and Graphic 45.
This is the front of the card. When you pull the slider, the image pops up to reveal a sentiment under it. I used a clear stamp with a circle Nestability cut. I had to make my slider slit longer to fit the circle through it. It's not centered from left to right, but "oh well". Sometimes, things just don't turn out perfectly, do they! But after all that work, there was no way I was tearing it apart to start over! LOL! I still think it's cute, and fun too. Anyway, I hope you join us in the challenge at the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog! Wait until you see the GORGEOUS creations the rest of the design team have created! OMG! They are all so talented! I truly love them all! So be sure and check them all out and leave them some love!
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious Design Team Sketch challenge for May
This card is now sold.
Hi everyone! I'm a little late in getting my design team challenge card posted this month. WHEW! What a weekend it has been. I feel like I'm running around like a mad woman. LOL! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! The sun is shining so pretty here today! Sorry I've been such a bad blogger! I'll hopefully get caught up in the next couple of days!!
This month, the sketch challenge is from the amazingly talented Becca! The sketch is posted over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog, and I hope you join us and play along for a chance to win a stamp from Diana at Magnolia-licious! I finally inked up this adorable stamp, #263 Princess Tilda that I received from Magnolia-licious. Isn't she beautiful! I was inspired to color her this way by the AMAZING Dena, when I saw her fabulous creation for Just Magnolia. This girl has some serious talent! So anyway, I cased her coloring of Princess Tilda with all the fabulous stickles, even though mine doesn't even compare to hers.
I also used some of the gorgeous chandelier glass garland from Diana. LOVE it!! It adds so much to a project! The papers are Nitwits, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the punched borders and twigs are courtesy of Martha Stewart punches.
The silk ribbon is from Stamp and Create and a dream to work with the Bow Easy! The flowers make the card too bulky for an envelope, so I created an envelope box for presentation of it. Please be sure and visit Magnolia-licious Hightlites blog to see all the STUNNING creations by the rest of the design team, and then please grab your Magnolia stamps and join us in the challenge. You just might win a prize! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Happy New Year! A new Magnolia-licious challenge for the month of January!

After I colored her, I took my blender and went up the front of her pants from the highlight in her socks. I'm no so sure I like the effect from that. What do you think??
I rearranged the directions a little so I could get that depth. I cut my piece of paper at 5 1/2" x 11 1/2", then scored it at 5 1/2" from each end. So you end up with a 1/2" spine for your card. If you do this, be sure and reinforce your spine with some cardstock so your card is nice and sturdy. You can see how I did mine by looking at the inside of the card.
Please be sure and join us over at Magnolia-licious Highlites to get all the details of the challenge and to join in with the fun! Thank you so much for popping by to see me today, and I hope to see you back again soon! I wish a safe, happy, and healthy New Year to you and yours. And I also wish to thank you for a truly wonderful year! I gain so much inspiration from all of you, and appreciate the fabulous friendships I have forged over the previous years. I am truly blessed. HUGS!!!
