Posh Shasta's Beauty Product Of The Week! Mascara!

By Shasta Moczulski, Fashion/Beauty Director

Mascara is a bit of an obsession of mine, and also for many of the  women I know.  Finding the perfect one is like trying to find the makeup holy grail.  The thing is, I am always interviewing mascaras, even if I currently have a pretty good one, I always have to try the new one that comes out because it may just be the one, and it's just waiting for me to try it and fall in love with it, thus perpetuating my obsession with mascara.  Sick, I know.  I am OK with that.

My hunt for the perfect mascara prompted me to ask my Twitter followers to suggest their favorites, right away everyone was tweeting their suggestions to me!  I decided that I would try each one and let you all know what I think of each mascara because you all want the ultimate mascara also.

Before!
After!
First up, the new "Last Blast Fusion" from CoverGirl.  The package advertised volume + length. Believe it or not, I only used one coat.  Next time I apply this, I will use a lighter touch!  I wasn't expecting it to really do what it promised!  Lash Blast Fusion was $8.29 at Target, much less then what I have been spending on mascara.  After wearing it all day long, I am impressed, no flakes on my cheeks... nada.  Lash Blast Fusion is my new favorite, for now anyway!

September Magnolia-licious Design Team challenge

WOW! September 1st, can you believe it??!! I've got a lot going on in the next couple of weeks. I am FINALLY going to a Copic Certification class over in Oakland, CA on the 11th!! YAY!!! I'm so excited! If anyone has any advice on what I should take with me for the class, I would greatly appreciate it! AND, then my LSS Scrapbook Paradise asked me to teach my very first card class and it's all set up for Oct 7th!!!!! I'm so jazzed I can hardly stand it!  LOL!  Ok...back on track...sorry bout chatting so much!  :)  With today being Sept 1st, it's time for a new Magnolia-licious sketch challenge. This month, the awesomely talented Becca Feeken is hosting us! And instead of a card sketch, Becca issued us a challenge to make either a backpack or a suitcase along with a Bon Voyage image. You can find the links for the tutorials over at Magnolia-licious Highlites. Needless to say, when I saw the backpack (soooo cute!) took 31 steps to complete, I chose to make the suitcase! LMBO! It was so quick and easy and it's the most adorable way to give a gift card! I love it!!!

For my card, I used #229 Cowgirl Tilda (currently out of stock on reorder),  #431 cactus#505 travel sign, #620 ticket,  and #738 See you later.  They're all colored with Copic markers, and all but the sign are cut out and some of them are popped up for dimension. Cardstock is Bazzill and DP are digital downloads from Nitwit Collections. I snagged some cable cord from my hubby's stash and used it for rope. There is machine stitching around the outside of the card and I also added a couple punched borders courtesy of a MS border punch. I kept the suitcase rustic so it would go with the western theme, and I could just imagine the clasp being broken and them tying it closed with some rope.  All the stamps I used are from the Bon Voyage collection which is available at Magnolia-licious.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites and see what my amazing DT sisters did for this challenge. And then grab those Tilda's and make your own for a chance to win a prize! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again tomorrow for the new release of Digital Delights images! They're too cute for words!
Hugs!
