Posh Shasta's Rent the Runway Experience + a FABulous giveaway!

By Shasta Moczulski, Contributing Writer

Fashion is my addiction; clothes, handbags, jewels (real or costume), shoes.... all of it and I can never get enough!  Have I been know to wear a cocktail dress to a play-date?  Yes.  To work?  Yes.  Red Robin?  Yes!  My out of control obsession with cocktail dresses would be tolerable if I wore them each over and over, but being the girly girl that I am,  repeating a fab dress is not something I enjoy.  Simple black sheath?  Yes, of course I can repeat the classics, it's the "special dresses", the ones with verve, that only get a one time wear from me.  Knowing that this was a crime against fashion to have such delightful dresses hanging in my closet, that would NEVER be worn again, I started swapping gowns with friends!  This was our way to recycle and to save a few $$$ on dresses.  I thought I was BRILLIANT, until I was introduced to Rent the Runway.

Fashion dreams started coming true as I zipped through the website!  Really I wanted to try them all!  My birthday was coming up and I needed a fresh party dress, but did not want to spend the $400+ for the dress that I wanted to buy from another website.  My hesitation held me back, but after I scanned the information about how the renting process works, I started to get excited!  Before I go farther in my story, click below to see how RTR works:

The choices available on RTR are incredible!  After the grueling process (I know, rough problem right?) of choosing which dress to wear for my birthday party, I chose the  Robert Rodriguez Black Label Asymmetric Roaring Red Dress

Emily, from RTR's customer service department helped me with additional questions and concerns that I had.  I must say that the customer service that I received was the best that I have had in so long, that I cannot remember the last time I had great customer service.  My hesitation lingered as I waited for the dresses to be delivered on the date that I chose.  You are asking "Dresses?  I thought you chose just one?"  True my friends, but you get to choose two sizes in the dress you choose, insuring a fab fit!  I only chose one dress for my party, but you can select several selections.

Here are my favorite things about Rent The Runway:
  • Great selection of current dresses.
  • Prices that are much easier on the wallet, compared to buying the dress at full price.
  • The customer is in the driver's seat, you select the delivery date for your occasion and it is guaranteed to be delivered that day.
  • Receiving your selection in two sizes, is like insurance to make sure that your choice will fit.
  • The pre-posted envelope that you put your dresses in after the event, make returning your Cinderella gown beyond easy!
Will I use this service again?  Absolutely and I think that you should too!  You can keep up with all of the latest styles at Rent the Runway and follow RTR on Twitter!
