Everyday Cricut Treat Boxes with Happy Hauntings

Hey there!  Today is my Saturday at Everyday Cricut.  Because Halloween is just around the corner I am sharing Halloween treat boxes.  I have crafted five boxes as samples of what you can present to your trick or treaters.

Be sure to go by Everyday Cricut and leave a comment to be in their weekly drawing.  And of course I like comments too!!

BBTB x Vintage Photos = One Great Challenge

BBTB x Peggy Loves Vintage = Fabulous Projects! That was Regina equation this week at BBTB. The designers were instructed to use the Inch Bag cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More, and to embellish the bag with a vintage image supplied by Peggy Loves Vintage.

I chose the circus image, and made a cute little bi-colored gift bag on which to display the image. After some serious scissor time with image, I mounted the image on a scalloped circle created with my nesties.

The double paper effect is easy to achieve, just glue two sheets of paper together before placing the paper on the cutting mat. You can even do like I did and use a decorative punch on one edge of the paper before you adhere them together.

I finished my bag off with Stampin' Up stamps that I got for FREE earlier this year (I love free stuff!). The only down side was I smeared the craft ink a bit while adding the brads to the embellies.

Wedding Pillow Gift Box - Special Gift for the Bride?

Happy (rainy here in Aiken) Bitten by the Bug Monday! This week Regina challenged the design team to use the Pillow Box cut from the Wedding Solutions cartridge. If you have not been by BBTB to see the AMAZING projects, you are missing some truly amazing works of art!! The designers out did themselves....AGAIN! :-)

For my project, I printed my own paper, added bazzill card stock to the front window area, and embellished with Prima flowers, beautiful french ribbon, and silk butterflies. This would be a perfect gift box for a special bridal gift: a piece of jewelry, a special note, or a personal gift card!!

I hope your Monday is wonderful... and that you too get BBTB!!!!

BBTB Interstate Sign - New Driver Set

Have you been by Bitten by the Bug today? The designers were challenged to use the Interstate sign from the Going Places Cartridge. All I can say is AMAZING!

My design is called New Driver. It includes a gift box and a matching card. The box was cut using the 12 x 24 cutting mat and includes a peek-a-boo window. The card is embellished with the car front cut from Graphically Speaking.

The paper is from Darci's and Bazzill aqua and brown card stock.

What a Busy with the Cricky Week

I have had such a busy week with my Cricut - Cricky and I have shared lots of quality time. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings were spent creating boxes and cards for my co-workers (mostly just the women) for Valentine's Day gifts. I took my BBTB box and card set, simplified the card as well as the box details and created 20 sets!! Finally tonight I got the boxes filled and tied closed. They are all packed in a large longaberger basket ready for work tomorrow.
I had to use a variety of printed cardstock. In the beginning I had only planned to make 8 of the sets. But I bet you know how it is when you think "oh no, Mary's feelings will be hurt!" Or, "Oops, person A and person B are good friends. Better give gifts to both!" So in the end, yes, it was 2o gifts, hence the mix and match cardstock. Fortunately the cardstocks all shared a similar hue of pink.

I think most of my co-workers will like their bags, but next year maybe I will just bake a pan of brownies. This was a lot of work!!!

Valentine Heart Box - all George

I really like the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge; there are some really cute boxes which can be cut and embellished numerous ways. I wanted to make a Valentine box for a special friend. I looked at the boxes and chose a basic bag/box, then rebuilt the it using George. I need to make edits to the entire top of the box, hence the George rebuild. I wanted the have a flip over lace edging. I know others on the cricut MB have created their own versions of this little valentine box, but I stubbornly wanted to do it on my own. My box still needs some bugs worked out on lace placement, but overall I am happy. These are photos of the trial cut.
