Inked athlete Josh Hamilton and the Texas Ranger advance to the ALCS

BOSTON- JULY 15: Josh Hamilton

Rangers’ Hamilton celebrates with ginger ale

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – This time, the Texas Rangers’ celebration started with Josh Hamilton(notes).

Left out of the party when the club clinched the American League West title in late September, Hamilton on Tuesday night dashed into the visitors’ clubhouse and into a torrent of ginger ale after the Rangers beat theTampa Bay Rays in the AL division series.

“The guys really doused me good,” he said later, having slipped out of the clubhouse when the ginger ale ran dry. “They gave me a lot of hugs and congratulations.”

He smiled and raised a green plastic bottle of soda. He’d pushed a pair of ski goggles to the top of his forehead.

“You know,” he said, “this stuff burns your eyes just like that other stuff does.”

Hamilton’s life and baseball career were nearly ruined by years of drug and alcohol abuse. Still fighting that fight, Hamilton led the Rangers to their first AL West title in 11 years, won the AL batting title and is a leading MVP candidate. READ THE REST HERE from yahoo.com

SF Giants vs the Atlanta Braves for the NLDS playoffs who has better tattoos?

Peter Moylan relief pitcher of the Atlanta Braves
Because Moylan already had a lot of flowers on his left arm, he had the tattoo artist add color and more lines. He also re-did Moylan's daughter's name so that it stands out with the shading. "I'm going to have him do the same thing on my right arm," Moylan said. "I give him freedom to do whatever he wants." His favorite artist is Brandon Bond at All or Nothing Tattoo in Smyrna. ALISON CHURCH, SPECIAL
Moylan says his right arm "isn't quite finished yet; still gotta add some color and fill in the blanks." If you want your tattoos to be featured, e-mail mbenzie@ajc.com.
Braves relief pitcher Peter Moylan guesses he has spent 100 hours having both arms and his back inked since getting his first tattoo when he was "17 and impressionable. Walked into a tattoo shop in Fort Myers and thought, 'Oh, that'd be cool.' It's not cool at all." The Australian got an 8-ball on his left shoulder that he has since covered "because I don't play pool." ALISON CHURCH, SPECIAL Read more HERE
